We have been trained in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling.

Western acupuncture is a practice derived from Traditional Chinese acupuncture. In this approach, traditional acupuncture knowledge is combined with western science to get the best of both worlds. Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years for treating the body as a whole, with great success. Recently, in the last twenty years or so, science has explored how the acupuncture process works on the human body. Studies have found that it can affect brain function, hormonal regulation, sleep, anti-inflammatory pathways, pain – to mention just a few.

Dry Needling involves the insertion of an acupuncture needle into a muscles trigger point.  This is an effective approach for reducing pain, as well as improving the function of the muscles.  "Tight" muscles can be released, while weak muscles can be activated. Although it is not for everybody,  dry needling can be a great addition to corrective exercise to help facilitate correct muscle balance
