Build your D.R.E.A.M Health
Building your dream health is a lot like building your dream house, only much cheaper! The first step is having a clear dream or goal – why do you want to be healthier? To be able to play rugby with your grandchildren? To become a Crossfit superstar or lawn bowl champion? Maybe just to be the best, most awesome version of yourself? Having a clear goal makes it a lot easier to make changes in your lifestyle and nutrition.Build your D.R.E.A.M Health

Having a clear goal makes it a lot easier to make changes in your lifestyle and nutrition.
The next step is designing and planning, much like you do with an architect. This can involve some testing to see where your health is at presently (surveying), and then developing a plan to implement your health building. Some of us will have great terrain to start building, while others may require some serious ground work before the real building will occur.
Ready to start building? Laying a solid foundation comes first. This is your lifestyle: optimal sleep, work-play balance, stress management, social interaction, pleasure and exercise. Without these foundations firmly in place, the rest of your health will crumble like a house of cards.
Now it’s time to construct your dream health with the highest quality materials. Fresh whole foods, clean water and quality supplements if needed. Like a dream house, there is no one-size fit all (although in some suburbs it does look like that). Everyone is biochemically unique and requires a customized nutrition and supplement plan to suit their needs.
Once your dream health is built, it’s time to decorate! You can play around with things and find out what works best for you. And of course, like every house, doing regular maintenance and checkups is essential.
Most of this building will be DIY, but would you just start hammering pieces of wood together without having some plans and blueprints first? It pays to talk to someone who can help you identify your specific needs and dysfunctions, and work towards your goals.
